An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Software Engineer to join a large-scale transformation initiative focused on modernising and simplifying a critical enterprise platform.

Working within a collaborative technology team you will contribute to the development integration and enhancement of business-critical applications while supporting ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.

The Role

As a Software Engineer you will work across the full software development lifecycle contributing to the design development integration and support of enterprise applications.

You will play a key role in delivering platform simplification projects enhancing user experiences and ensuring solutions align with best practice development standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain enterprise applications and integrations
• Develop and enhance Oracle APEX applications and user interfaces
• Create and optimise Oracle PL/SQL packages procedures and database objects
• Develop and support REST API integrations between enterprise systems
• Contribute to solution design technical analysis and development activities
• Participate in testing deployment and production support activities
• Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and business-as-usual development activities

About You

You are a hands-on software engineer with strong Oracle development experience and a passion for building robust scalable solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience with Oracle PL/SQL development
• Experience developing applications using Oracle APEX
• Experience designing and supporting system integrations
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience working with REST APIs and web services
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Highly Desirable

• Oracle APEX Forms development experience
• Java and JDeveloper experience
• HTML JavaScript CSS3 XML Bootstrap and jQuery
• ANSI SQL experience
• C# development experience
• Experience working within large and complex enterprise environments
• ITIL knowledge or certification
• Experience within Higher Education or similarly complex organisations
