Senior AI Software Engineer 12 month fixed term

• Help build an aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly interface specifically designed to empower borrowers.
• Engage in a partnership with our Product/UX team
• Take charge of major segments of our system demonstrating your expertise in both design and delivery. Your role will be pivotal in providing stable high-quality solutions that stand the test of time. 
• As an integral member of our engineering team your role involves building robust and scalable software. Your work will lay the foundation for a resilient and evolving technological framework. 
• Your commitment to writing clean maintainable code is crucial. We prioritise practices that support continuous integration and deployment adhering to the highest standards and guidelines in software development. 
• Play a leading role in driving the engineering teams rhythm and processes from planning and resource allocation to design coding deployment and ongoing support. 
• Embrace full ownership of the code you and your team develop. This includes being proactive in debugging monitoring and ensuring the utmost reliability in our production environment.  

Qualifications :

• Proficiency in TypeScript with solid experience across back-end services and modern React front-ends.
• Experience working with document databases ideally MongoDB (schema design indexing performance and/or change-stream or event patterns).
• Strong experience building and operating services on AWS including containerised workloads networking observability and CI-driven deployments.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures (e.g. Kafka or similar) including designing resilient asynchronous workflows.
• Experience designing building and evolving HTTP APIs and data contracts including backwards-compatible changes and integration with multiple consumers.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices including automated testing trunk-based development and feature-flagged releases.
• Experience working with third-party APIs vendors and partner platforms including technical due diligence integration design and troubleshooting.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across multiple services and integrations using logs metrics and traces effectively.
• Experience with at least one secondary language (e.g. Kotlin) and a track record of learning new stacks and tools quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholder
