Service Sales Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and technically minded Service Sales Engineer Hydraulics to join our team in Perth WA.
This is a customer focused role responsible for driving aftermarket and service sales growth across the region while providing technical support and solutions to customers. Working closely with internal teams and customers you will identify opportunities develop long term relationships and deliver high quality service solutions that maximise reliability and performance.
You will play a key role in growing the service business supporting customers with both pre and post sales advice and ensuring service projects and customer requirements are delivered successfully.
What you will be doing
- Business Development: Identify and develop new customers and aftermarket opportunities across the region.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long term customer relationships through regular engagement and technical support.
- Service Sales & Proposals: Prepare quotations service contract proposals and follow up on current and future work opportunities.
- Technical Support: Provide technical advice and solutions to customers and support the service team with specialist knowledge.
- Tender & Contract Management: Negotiate tender and contract requirements to achieve the best outcomes for both customers and the business.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate service activities and support the successful delivery of service projects.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Service Engineering Purchasing Production and other internal teams to deliver customer outcomes.
- CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate customer records opportunities and pipeline information and provide regular reporting.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years experience in aftermarket sales service sales technical account management or a similar customer facing role.
- Strong experience within hydraulics industrial equipment heavy industry manufacturing or related technical environments.
- Proven ability to build long term customer relationships identify growth opportunities and support technical service solutions.
- Sound technical understanding of hydraulic systems fluid power products rotating equipment or similar mechanical systems.
- Trade qualification as a Fitter and Machinist Plant Mechanic or equivalent mechanical trade background. Engineering qualifications or relevant industry experience will also be considered.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and operational teams.
- Proficient computer skills across Microsoft Office and CRM / sales systems.
- Current drivers licence and willingness to travel as required.
