Synergie Australia is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a trusted client delivering national engineering and infrastructure projects across Australia.
The important parts:
- Pay: $110$140 per hour (inclusive)-
- Duration: 36-month contract (potential extension)
- Hours: MondayFriday full-time business hours with flexibility for travel and site engagement
- Location: VIC Laverton or Coolaroo
What you will be required to do:
Youll support a nationally distributed engineering and projects team during a critical capacity gap working across a portfolio of waste processing and infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on delivery-focused role combining technical engineering support with project coordination.
- Supporting the design and development of engineering solutions for industrial and process plant systems-
- Translating project requirements into scopes specifications and technical documentation-
- Assisting delivery across design procurement construction and commissioning phases-
- Coordinating inputs across multidisciplinary teams (civil mechanical electrical process automation)-
- Managing technical queries design changes and site-based issues-
- Acting as the key interface between operations engineering teams and external contractors/consultants-
- Supporting engineering risk reviews safety standards and compliance requirements-
- Addressing backlog in engineering documentation standards and specifications-
- Driving consistency and uplift across engineering governance
To be successful in the role you will:
- Hold a degree in Engineering (mechanical civil electrical process or similar)
- Have 10 years experience in project engineering or project delivery
- Bring experience across design construction and commissioning of industrial or process plant-
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills-
- Have experience working with consultants contractors and operational teams-
- Be hands-on proactive and comfortable in a fast-paced high-demand environment
