Job Role
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting strategic decision-making through the development maintenance and analysis of financial models budgeting frameworks forecasting tools and commercial evaluation materials. The role focuses on transforming operational and financial data into meaningful commercial insights that support executive leadership corporate planning capital allocation and investor engagement activities.
Working closely with the CEO CFO finance team and other senior stakeholders the successful candidate will play a key role in preparing financial analyses scenario assessments board-level reporting materials and investment-related documentation. This position is highly suitable for commercially minded finance professionals who possess strong analytical capabilities advanced financial modeling expertise and experience supporting executive decision-making within complex corporate environments.
Key Responsibilities
Develop maintain and enhance financial models cash flow forecasts budget frameworks and scenario analysis tools to support strategic planning and business decision-making.
Consolidate operational and financial data from multiple business units into structured commercial reporting and forecasting models.
Perform sensitivity analysis variance analysis and financial performance reviews to identify key business drivers risks and opportunities.
Support budgeting forecasting and periodic reforecast exercises by providing analytical insights and commercial recommendations.
Prepare executive reports board presentation materials financial summaries and business performance dashboards.
Assist in evaluating capital allocation decisions investment opportunities financing initiatives and corporate development projects.
Support investor relations activities through the preparation of presentation materials financial fact sheets market analysis and benchmarking reports.
Conduct industry market competitor and financial research to support strategic initiatives and management discussions.
Maintain accurate documentation audit trails assumptions registers and version control across financial models and analytical outputs.
Collaborate closely with finance operations technical teams and executive leadership to ensure consistency and integrity of financial information.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics Commerce Engineering or a related discipline.
Professional qualifications such as CA CPA CFA or equivalent are highly regarded.
Minimum 58 years of relevant experience in financial analysis corporate finance FP&A investment banking equity research commercial analysis or related functions.
Previous exposure to mining natural resources infrastructure energy or capital-intensive industries is highly preferred.
Demonstrated experience supporting budgeting forecasting financial planning and strategic business decision-making processes.
Strong capability in financial modeling cash flow analysis scenario planning valuation techniques and commercial analysis.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including complex financial models forecasting structures and analytical reporting tools.
Strong analytical thinking attention to detail problem-solving capability and commercial judgment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
High level of professionalism integrity confidentiality and stakeholder management capability.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
