- Administration & Clerical Grade 6 Salary from $113574.00 plus super and leave loading
About the role
As the Risk & Emergency Coordinator leads risk emergency management and work health and safety initiatives that support resilient communities and primary industries. Partner with stakeholders to drive preparedness response and recovery activities while promoting a strong risk management culture across the region.
We are looking for an individual who can:
- Develop promote and support the implementation of planning prevention response and recovery activities for Emergency Management.
- Develop and strengthen productive internal and external stakeholder relationships focusing on Emergency Management across organisations such as Local Emergency Management Committees (LEMCs) Regional Emergency Management Committees (REMCs) inter-agency partners and statewide networks.
- Develop support and lead the increase of riskconscious activities and risk management functions within the region by providing assistance with the implementation of statewide risk initiatives and applications.
- Monitor audit develop and continuously refine the regions Risk Register and support its effective application across the region.
- Develop support and lead the increase of WHSconscious activities and WHS management functions within the region by providing and assisting with the implementation of statewide WHS initiatives and applications.
- Assist with supporting the region in improving the accuracy and timeliness of incident and audit reporting and submissions across risk emergency management and WHS.
- Coordinate the organisation facilitation and continued training opportunities in emergency management risk and WHS.TH1
About You
To be successful in this role our ideal candidate will have the following:
- The ability to remain calm in high pressure situations
- Good communication and relationship building skills
- The ability to prioritise and work autonomously
- Be an analytical thinker able to identify and manage WHS risks.
- Have exceptional interpersonal skills to help promote a safety culture within our region.
- Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
