As theReconciliationActionPlan(RAP)Partneryoulllead the coordination and delivery of key Reconciliation Action Plan(RAP)initiatives.Youllembed culturally informed practice and strengthen organisational capability across our services.

Given the nature of the work and the requirement to provide cultural leadership and lived experience insights it is a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of theAnti-DiscriminationAct 1991 that the position be filled by an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
Your part in our UnitingCare team:
Support the delivery of RAP priorities across UnitingCare Queensland helping embed reconciliation commitments into everyday practice.
Design and deliver practical accessible learning and resources that build cultural capability and support respectful engagement with First Nations communitiesclientsand Elders.
Provide trusted real-world cultural advice to teams helping guide day-to-day decisions with confidence and care.
Build andmaintainstrong respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communitiesorganisationsand Elders.
Contribute to projects and service improvements and provide clear well-prepared reportsinsightsand briefings to support leaders.
Keep RAP activity runningsmoothlybycoordinatingreporting tracking actions supporting governancerequirementsand working closely withstakeholders
What makes a difference for us
Tertiary qualifications ordemonstratedcompetency in Health and Community Services plus the ability to obtain required probity checks (NDIS Worker Clearance National Police Check).
Experience building strong respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations.
Ability to support a culturally safe workplace and build positive connections with First Nations staff.
A good understanding of the history and current experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and how this applies to service delivery.
Strong communicationskills with the ability to connect and build trust with a wide range of people.
Clear and confident writing and digital skills including creating practical resourcesreportsand communications.
Well organised and reliable with the ability to manage admin coordination and project work while keeping things running smoothly.
