Project Controller
Job Summary
Our client a well-established and highly regarded organisation within the marine and engineering sector is currently seeking an experienced Engineering Project Controller to join their Darwin-based operations team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic operational environment supporting engineering maintenance and vessel-related projects across a large and diverse fleet operation.
About the Role
Working closely with the Engineering Manager and wider project team you will be responsible for coordinating engineering projects maintenance schedules documentation reporting contractor coordination and project administration activities.
This role will suit someone with strong project coordination and scheduling experience within engineering marine mechanical shipyard maintenance construction or heavy industry environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate engineering and maintenance project activities from planning through to completion
- Assist with project scheduling forecasting reporting and progress tracking
- Support dry-docking maintenance and vessel engineering projects
- Prepare and maintain project documentation reports work packs and schedules
- Coordinate contractors suppliers subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Monitor project costs variations and schedule performance
- Assist with procurement and material coordination activities
- Ensure compliance with WHS quality and operational standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across engineering operations
About You
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
- Experience within marine mechanical engineering shipyard maintenance construction or heavy industry environments
- Strong project coordination scheduling and reporting skills
- Experience managing contractors and project documentation
- Ability to work within fast-paced operational environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management systems
- Australian Drivers Licence
Highly Regarded
- Marine engineering or mechanical background
- Experience within vessel maintenance or dry-docking environments
- Trade or engineering qualifications
- Experience with project controls forecasting or maintenance planning systems
