Job Summary

Indigitise is seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager to support the delivery of a major capability program and manage its transition into ongoing operational sustainment.

The successful candidate will work across complex Commonwealth stakeholder groups delivery partners and governance bodies to ensure the capability is delivered transitioned and supported effectively.

Must hold TSPV.

This position is based in Canberra and is looking for an immediate start.

  1. Project management knowledge skills and experience in ICT and Defence projects;
  2. Strong leadership communication and organisational abilities; and
  3. Effective stakeholder management in complex projects.


Project Manager will manage the capability delivery and transition to material sustainment by:

  1. Liaising with the lead delivery group and other Commonwealth agencies;
  2. Overseeing the acquisition/development of the capability;
  3. Reporting periodically on project performance and delivery in accordance with Defence capability standards and project management best practices;
  4. Development implementation and monitoring of sustainment plans and artefacts;
  5. Coordinating the transition of the capability to sustainment to ensure all sustainment artefacts agreements and responsibilities are established and approved;
  6. Tracking and reporting of transition milestones risks issues and dependencies;
  7. Participating in Project Governance Board activities;
  8. Monitoring project budgets resources and timelines; and
  9. Knowledge transfer activities including a summary of handover activities outstanding actions and any risks requiring mitigation

Required Skills:

Key duties and responsibilities As directed undertake the design integration testing and documentation of engineering subsystems Plan design manage execute and report test and test procedures using appropriate testing tools and techniques Produce technical documentation Undertake testing and fault finding using electronic test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes logic analysers spectrum analysers) of RF communications systems and components. Assist in the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures With guidance perform design review Technical skills Coaxial Optical and Signalling cabling Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a response to each criterion. Each response is limited to 3000 characters. Essential criteria 1. DESN 4: Designs system components using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed architectures design standards patterns and methodology. Identifies and evaluates alternative design options and trade-offs. Creates multiple design views to address the concerns of the different stakeholders and to handle functional and non-functional requirements. Models simulates or prototypes the behaviour of proposed system components to enable approval by stakeholders. Produces detailed design specifications to form the basis for the construction of systems. Reviews verifies and improves own designs against specifications. 2. RFEN 4: Investigates and resolves system-wide fault conditions using a wide range of diagnostic tools and techniques. Reconfigures equipment to circumvent temporary outages. Specifies selects and integrates RF devices in a system. Defines internal communication protocols for transmission over the available frequencies. Reconfigures devices and software to optimise performance. 3. TEST 3: Designs detailed functional test cases and scripts covering various scenarios and boundary values. Actively participates in requirement and design reviews refining test plans based on insights gained. Undertakes structured exploratory testing to investigate and verify functionality. Prepares test data configures environments and automates repeatable tests. Executes tests logs defects with detailed information and analyses results to assess system functionality. Desirable criteria 1. Experience in Satellite communication 2. Electrical Trade Certificate 3. Application of ARPANSA RF Standard 4. Experience in RFoIP technologies
