Job Summary

As a registered Project Architect (Project Lead) you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality education and learning environment projects combining design excellence with strong technical expertise.

The role requires extensive experience in the education sector and a strong understanding of learning environments stakeholder engagement construction detailing and project delivery. You will lead and actively contribute to the preparation and coordination of high-quality tender and construction documentation ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and in compliance with all relevant codes standards and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Working closely with clients consultants and project teams you will help create innovative functional and inspiring educational spaces that support diverse teaching and learning outcomes while ensuring projects are delivered on time within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in the education sector with a strong understanding of the planning design and delivery of schools tertiary education and other learning environments.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant education design standards stakeholder engagement processes and regulatory requirements with the ability to translate educational briefs into high-quality built outcomes.
  • 6 years post-qualification experience as a registered Architect following completion of a masters degree
  • Registered Architect with a recognised architectural qualification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of proficiency in English.
  • Professional experience using Revit
  • Proficiency with Rhino and Adobe Suite

Skills Knowledge & Abilities

  • Solid conceptual design and graphic skills
  • Experience with technical detailing construction documentation and contract administration
  • Ability to resolve technical and design challenges through innovative thinking
  • Knowledge of products materials and construction methods
  • Exposure to management and coordination of project stakeholders local authorities and approving bodies and sub-consultants
  • Ability to develop design options in collaboration with the design team
  • Ability to prepare develop and edit drawings and models as they relate to the project
  • The ability to be proactive self-motivated and able to take initiative in response to direction from managers
  • Great interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in residential and mixed-use projects is advantageous; however adaptability across sectors is highly valued
