We are an inclusive multidisciplinary team of Behaviour Support Practitioners Occupational Therapists Speech Pathologists Psychologists Counsellors and Allied Health Assistants. Together we support people of all abilities to build confidence capacity and connection.
Behind the scenes our dedicated administration team manages client intakes scheduling and paperwork so our clinicians can focus on meaningful high-quality clinical work.
We are now looking for a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in Rockhampton.
About the Role
In this role you will support NDIS participants across the lifespan working closely with participants families carers support coordinators and our wider multidisciplinary team.
You will have the time flexibility and support to do behaviour support properly. This means building genuine relationships developing practical and respectful plans and supporting real sustainable change. This position is available part-time or full-time with flexibility to suit your life.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing Functional Behaviour Assessments in line with NDIS and NDIS Commission requirements
- Developing reviewing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans that are person-centred and practical
- Supporting the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices using PBS principles
- Providing training and guidance to families carers and support teams
- Collecting and analysing data to inform strategies and outcomes
- Maintaining clear compliant documentation including case notes and progress reports
- Working ethically and in line with relevant legislation guidelines and professional standards
About You
You will be a great fit if you:
- Hold tertiary qualifications in allied health psychology counselling behaviour support or a related field
- Are eligible as a Core Behaviour Support Practitioner or above
- Work from a person-centred and trauma-informed approach
- Are confident working independently while valuing collaboration
- Communicate clearly and thoughtfully both in writing and in person
- Have a genuine passion for supporting people living with a disability and their support networks
- Hold a Drivers Licence Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check or are willing to obtain them
