You will:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) in a respectful and dignified manner
- Support residents to maintain independence while tailoring care to their individual preferences cultural background beliefs and life experiences
- Monitor observe and report any changes in physical mental or emotional wellbeing to the clinical team
- Ensure safe and effective personal care practices including infection prevention and control adherence to individualised care plans and the use of appropriate equipment
- Maintain accurate timely and confidential documentation including daily care notes incident reports resident preferences and communication
- Uphold residents rights to dignity choice privacy and identity in all aspects of care
- Work within a Scope of Practice following organisational policies & procedures our Code of Conduct and safety guidelines
- Receive excellent remuneration and salary packaging benefits up to $18500 per annum
What We Are Looking For:
- Minimum qualification of Certificate III in Aged Care Individual Support or equivalent
- Kindness humour and a can-do attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum one year experience in an aged care facility
- Experience in dementia care or palliative care
- A desire to learn with ongoing professional development and participation in continuous quality programs
- A positive team approach to caring
- The ability to follow policies processes and instructions
