*This role attracts a fixed allowance that ensures a minimum salary equivalent to AHA2 (third increment) pro-rated based on the Undertaking as within the Allied Health Professionals Assistants and Psychologists Enterprise Agreement 2025.

About the role
As a Pharmacy Assistant youll play an important part in helping deliver safe timely and patient-centred pharmacy services that make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of South Australians. Working as part of a friendly and collaborative multidisciplinary team youll support the dispensing distribution and management of medications while building strong relationships with pharmacists pharmacy technicians other healthcare professionals patients and the wider community. Every day brings variety with opportunities to contribute to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and rewarding hospital environment.
Whether youre starting your pharmacy career or bringing existing experience youll be supported to learn develop and grow your skills while working alongside experienced professionals who value teamwork respect and continuous improvement. Depending on the position youll have opportunities to contribute to inventory management medication manufacturing workflow coordination and mentoring of colleagues all while helping ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy services. About You

Youll enjoy working collaboratively have a keen eye for detail and be motivated to learn and grow while contributing to the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services.
- A team player with excellent communication skills able to build positive relationships with colleagues patients and people from diverse backgrounds while providing professional customer-focused service.
- Well organised and detail oriented with strong numeracy computer and administrative skills and the ability to follow procedures to ensure accuracy quality and patient safety.
- Adaptable and eager to learn with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment manage competing priorities and continually develop your knowledge and skills. (For Senior Pharmacy Assistant roles youll also be confident working independently and supporting the development of others.)
- Committed to safe and ethical practice demonstrating integrity professionalism and respect for confidentiality with the physical capability to undertake the practical requirements of the role and a willingness to complete (or hold) relevant pharmacy qualifications where applicable.
