Ocean Freight Customer Service Representative

About the Role and Opportunity -

As an Ocean Freight Customer Service Representative you will support the daytoday management of ocean freight shipments providing accurate documentation timely customer updates and effective coordination across internal teams and external partners. This role is ideal for someone who is customerfocused detailoriented and looking to build experience in a fastpaced logistics environment under the guidance of experienced colleagues.

As the Ocean Freight Customer Service Representative you will:

  • Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries and provide shipment updates.

  • Support ocean freight operations including shipment processing and documentation.

  • Maintain accurate shipment records in CargoWise One (CW1).

  • Coordinate with internal teams to meet service and delivery requirements.

  • Assist with cargo pickup delivery invoicing and related administrative tasks.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance escalate issues as required and collaborate to meet service standards.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in ocean freight customer service or operations.

  • A good understanding of air freight processes and regulations (advantageous).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with freight systems such as CargoWise One preferred.

  • Strong communication organisational and timemanagement skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and meet deadlines.

  • Detailoriented customerfocused and teamoriented with a willingness to learn and develop.
