About the opportunity
Due to internal promotion we are looking Marketing & Communications Project Officer to join the Marketing and Sponsorship team in an ongoing opportunity.
This role delivers and supports the marketing communications needs of WorkSafes business units working closely with the Marketing Communications Manager Senior Marketing Communications Advisors and Marketing Communications Advisors to deliver WorkSafes external communications activities and campaigns.
Key accountabilities:
- Assist in the development implementation and evaluation of communications campaigns and/or marketing materials.
- Plan and lead the below the line component of marketing campaigns for the Marketing Communications team. Work collaboratively with External Affairs and other WorkSafe business units to provide sound communications advice and expertise.
- Problems solve and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to provide communication solutions for complex business issues.
- Brief and collaborate with external suppliers such as creative and media agencies to deliver communications activities and campaigns.
- Co-ordinate the processing of purchase order payment of invoices and provide regular reports on planned expenditure as part of the Marketing Communications team budget.
- Provide general operational support to Marketing Communication team members as required.
- Assist with the implementation of special communications projects as required.

About you
You are a marketing and communications professional with strong client liaison capability exceptional attention to detail and welldeveloped time management skills. You consistently deliver highquality outcomes within tight timeframes and work collaboratively to add value for your team and stakeholders.
Additionally you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Experience in delivering multi-channel marketing communications and public relations campaigns to meet defined objectives.
- Experience using digital channels including social media and email marketing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft Office skills
- Strong interpersonal communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to negotiate problem solve and resolve complex issues
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety is advantageous but not essential.
- Tertiary qualification in Communications Media or a relevant field.
