Whats the role

As a Manager in Second Line Assurance you will perform reviews across Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) Treasury and Technology. You will focus on the management of risk and the operation of controls across key processes within these parts of the Bank. Working within the Risk function youll deliver independent riskbased assurance with a strong emphasis on insight challenge and uplift.

You will be part of a team that performs risk assurance over WIB Treasury Technology and DDAI. You will partner closely with business stakeholders to assess risk evaluate control effectiveness and identify opportunities to strengthen the Bank. You will gain a deep understanding of how the Bank operates endtoend.

This is a permanent fulltime role based in Sydney with a hybrid working model requiring two days per week in the office.

What do I need

• Substantial experience in assurance internal audit operational risk or risk advisory within a financial services environment
• Proven experience performing control testing and assessing control design and effectiveness with an auditstyle mindset
• Strong understanding of Institutional Banking Treasury Financial Markets Technology and/or APRA prudential requirements (highly desirable)
• Experience reviewing endtoend processes identifying control gaps and delivering practical riskbased recommendations
• Ability to perform datadriven or analyticsbased testing with strong analytical and problemsolving capability
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills with confidence to provide constructive challenge
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
