The opportunity:

Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused IT Technical Support Officer to join our Information Technology this role youll provide frontline technical support to staff across the institute helping ensure systems devices and applications run smoothly to support critical research and operational activities.

What youll do

  • Provide first-line support via phone email and service desk requests
  • Troubleshoot hardware software and application issues
  • Support Windows Mac and Microsoft Office environments
  • Set up and configure desktops laptops printers and mobile devices
  • Escalate complex technical issues where required
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support records
  • Assist with process improvements and user support resources

What youll bring

  • Previous experience in an IT support or service desk environment
  • Knowledge of PC and Mac hardware and operating systems
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office and desktop applications
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organisational and documentation abilities
  • A collaborative and can-do attitude
