ABOUT THE ROLE Cheltenham VIC Full-Time Ongoing

Were looking for a driven and open-minded Event Coordinatorto join our AGS Events Team and play a key role in delivering a diversecalendar of golf events across Victoria.

Working closely with the Victorian Event Manager as well asvenues players volunteers and stakeholders this role is responsible fordelivering exceptional event experiences through the end-to-end execution ofgolf events including stakeholder and venue management staff and volunteercoordination event functions player services signage budgeting and reporting.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is lookingto build a career in sport and event management gaining hands on experienceacross all aspects of event delivery while inspiring more people to play golf. This role isprimarily dedicated to the Victorian amateur events program with greatopportunities to also support the broader team that delivers major tournamentslike the Australian Open and PGA/WPGA Championships.

Your impact:

End-to-end delivery of GolfAustralia amateur events in Victoria

• Successful end-to-endevent delivery ensuring they are delivered to the highest standard in line withAGS delivery levels resulting in positive participant host venue volunteerand spectator experiences. Primary focus on TeeMates (GAs national juniorentry level event program) and other junior events.
• Executionof specific tasks to ensure successful event delivery include; host venueliaison development of terms of competition managing entries drawslogistics results prizes presentations and player satisfaction surveys.
• Delivering eventswithin budget and completing event financial reconciliations.
• Basic marketing andpromotion of events including up to date website information and promotion viasocial media EDMs and other channels.

Assisting in the delivery ofAustralian Golfs Majors

• Assisting the Australian Open and/or AustralianPGA/WPGA teams in the delivery of the mens and or womens Australian Opens andor the Australian PGA or WPGA Championships including areas such as volunteerservicing player services commercial or participation activationsaccreditation and event functions.

Tour Event Assistance

• Assisting in thedelivery of the PGA and WPGA Tour events such as the Vic Open and Webex PlayerSeries Events including areas such as volunteer servicing general operationscommercial or participation activations and event functions.

Youll Bring

• Strong verbal andwritten communication skills with a customer-focused approach to servicedelivery
• Maintaining a highlevel of accuracy and attention to detail while responding to priorities withurgency
• Ability to solveproblems and make sound decisions individually and with a team
• Exhibitingself-motivation and a commitment to finding innovative ways to achieve outcomes
• Ability to identify andmanage event-related risks including effectively navigating stakeholderrelationships and challenging situations
• Ability to meetdeadlines commitments and competing demands without compromising standards ofservice and quality
• Ability to work underpressure
• Ability to demonstratea positive proactive and solutions-focused approach to work
• Strong understanding ofgolf (desirable but not essential)

Availability to spendconsiderable time at tournaments/events throughout metropolitan Melbourneregional Victoria and interstate and the ability to work non-traditional hours.
