As a Sr. Tax Accountant youll have the opportunity to shape the financial landscape leaving a lasting legacy in the industry. As you navigate a diverse portfolio of clients including SMEs trusts partnerships and companies youll have the chance to craft strategies that drive success and longevity. With this position youll be at the forefront of innovation driving growth and making a tangible impact.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field with a major in accounting.
  
• Completion of or working towards CA/CPA certification.
  
• Minimum 57 years of demonstrated experience in accounting and taxation with a focus on AU tax and accounting.
  
• Comprehensive understanding of Australian taxation legislation including GST FBT CGT and Division 7A.
  
• Strong commercial acumen combined with solid technical accounting and analytical skills.
  
• Ability to identify issues and communicate effectively and efficiently.
  
• Proficiency with MYOB Xero Reckon and Quickbooks.
  
• Experience with Reckon APS program (desirable).
  
• Proficient English writing and verbal skills.
  
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on building strong relationships and stakeholder management.
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload.
  
• Collaborative team player who recognizes the importance of fostering internal relationships across the broader clients business.
  
• Ability to meet productivity and turnaround metrics.
  

Your Role in Shaping Success:

• Demonstrate tax knowledge including the preparation of tax returns and activity statements and staying updated on the latest AU tax rules.
  
• Prepare work papers and reconcile them to the financial statement stage.
  
• Prepare financial statements income tax returns and other lodgments for companies partnerships trusts and various individual businesses to a complex level including large groups and interentity reconciliations.
  
• Assist clients with tax planning FBT payroll tax and STP.
  
• Undertake business advisory projects such as budgets cash flows and management reporting.
  
• Ensure all documentation including work papers and client files is maintained in line with the clients compliance requirements.
