As the Head of Payments for Stanbic Bank Tanzanias Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) division you will be the primary architect and champion of our payments strategy. This is a high-visibility leadership role designed to transform the Tanzanian financial landscape by solving real-world problems for local large regional corporates and global organizations.
You will hold end-to-end accountability for the full lifecycle of Domestic and Cross-Border Payments Physical Cash Solutions and Liquidity Management. By driving product innovation and a high-performance sales strategy you will maximize market share and optimize the banks balance sheet.
Qualifications :
Type of Qualification: First Degree
Field of Study: Finance Economics Engineering or related field
Other Qualification: MBA or professional certification (e.g. CertICM) is highly preferred
Experience Required:
- 10 plus years in Transactional Banking or Payments with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a top-tier bank.
- 5-7 years experience working within a multinational banking environment.
- Deep expertise in East African payment rails liquidity management structures and the nuances of Tanzanian financial regulations.
- Experience working in a similar role that combined product management and business development responsibilities within the Tanzanian banking market.
- Familiarity with regional and global financial market trends particularly in Africa
