Job Title: Junior Data Analyst
Job Location: Tunis Tunisia
Reports to: Head of Marketing Science
Key interactions: Engineering & Growth teams
Job Purpose/Role Description:
We are looking for a passionate Data Analyst. The successful candidate will turn data into information information into insight and insight into business decisions.
This role requires advanced analytical acumen and solution orientation critical thinking skills and the ability to understand and manipulate data to provide insightful observations.
What We Expect You to Do:
- Develop and implement data collection systems and processes to filter and clean the data and optimize efficiency and quality
- Interpret & analyze data using data analytics techniques
- Identify analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Manipulate and analyze data across different cloud platforms (Databricks Snowflake etc.)
- Design and build dashboards in cloud-based environments
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for processing large datasets using our in-house software MassFeeds or Apache Spark
- Develop and maintain dashboards to visualize data utilizing Power BI or Tableau
- Ability to handle various data sources to develop reporting capabilities and valuable insights across these data sources is key.
- Automate data preparation and report creation where possible
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
- Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data
What We Expect You to Bring:
- Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
- Comprehensive understanding of current principles practices and techniques of Systems Analysis Business Analysis and Business Intelligence.
- Proven expertise in Python and data-focused libraries (Pandas NumPy Plotly etc.)
- Preferred qualifications: Knowledge of cloud data platforms (Databricks Snowflake BigQuery etc.)
- Preferred qualifications: Hands-on experience with Spark and SQL
- Experience in data models and reporting packages
- Strong knowledge in econometric modeling as well as other machine learning techniques
- Experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (e.g. Excel SPSS SAS etc.) is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect organize analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information
- Adherence to and clear implementation of information security standards is essential and required for this role
- Familiarity with Business and Marketing concepts
- Ability to analyze large datasetsand to write comprehensive reports
- Strong verbal and written English communication
- Problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
