The Opportunity:

A Business Continuity Management specialist with a minimum of 5 years of experience in assessing and implementing Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS) is required. This role presents an exciting opportunity to enhance the organizations resilience and preparedness in Business Continuity over a 12-month contract in Doha Qatar. The position involves working closely with various departments leveraging valuable insights and experience in business continuity practices. A passion for business continuity and the required skills are essential for contributing to the mission of ensuring operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the assessment of BCMS maturity and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Implement and maintain BCMS including preparing Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
  • Conduct awareness sessions to educate staff and stakeholders on business continuity practices and procedures.
  • Provide high-level explanations of technical terms to Point of Contacts ensuring clarity and understanding.
  • Collaborate with various client departments to facilitate the integration of BCMS into their operations.
  • Monitor and review the effectiveness of BCMS and make necessary adjustments to enhance performance.
  • Manage operational risk assessments at the enterprise level and maintain the Enterprise Risk Register.
  • Develop and document various business continuity plans and training materials for business unit champions.
  • Prepare status reports on metrics for executive management presentations.
  • Participate in certification audit cycles and ensure identified gaps are resolved.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Continuity Management or related field.
  • Proven experience in assessing BCMS maturity and implementing effective strategies.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in preparing BIA and BCP documents.
  • Experience conducting training and awareness sessions.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English with excellent written and verbal communication skills (mandatory).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with client departments and stakeholders.
  • Certified ISO 22301:2019 Lead Auditor and pursuing CBCP certification.
  • Familiarity with ERM-BCM software and data analysis tools.
