Job Title: Senior Accountant
Department: Finance & Accounting
Reports To: Finance Manager / General Manager CEO
Location: El- Sheikh Zayed Giza Egypt
Job Summary
Junior Accountant is responsible for managing the companys daily financial transactions maintaining accurate accounting records preparing financial reports monitoring customer collections and supplier payments supporting budgeting activities and ensuring compliance with company policies and Egyptian financial regulations.
Senior Accountant will oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger maintenance accounts payable and receivable bank reconciliations and expenses tracking. The role includes preparing monthly quarterly and annual financial statements supporting budgeting and forecasting and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. The Senior Accountant will monitor cost structures assist with pricing decisions and provide financial analysis to support management decisions. This is a full-time hybrid role based in El Sheikh Zaid with the flexibility to perform some responsibilities from home. The person in this role will collaborate closely with operations sales and management to maintain accurate financial records and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. General Accounting
Record and maintain all daily accounting transactions accurately and on time.
Prepare journal entries and monthly closing entries.
Maintain the general ledger and supporting documentation.
Verify financial documents before processing.
2. Accounts Receivable
Issue customer invoices and follow up on collections.
Monitor customer balances and aging reports.
Coordinate with the Sales Department regarding overdue accounts.
Prepare weekly and monthly collection reports.
Reconcile customer accounts regularly.
3. Accounts Payable
Review supplier invoices against purchase orders and goods received notes.
Process supplier payments according to approved payment schedules.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain accurate supplier records.
4. Cash & Bank Management
Monitor daily cash flow.
Prepare bank reconciliation statements monthly.
Manage petty cash and employee advances.
Record all bank transactions accurately.
5. Cost Control & Project Accounting
Monitor project costs for manufacturing and installation activities.
Track material labor transportation and installation costs.
Prepare profitability reports for projects.
Support management in cost reduction initiatives.
6. Tax & Compliance
Prepare accounting records required for VAT and tax filings.
Support the preparation of tax returns and statutory reports.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
Ensure compliance with Egyptian accounting standards and company policies.
7. Financial Reporting Prepare periodic reports including:
Income Statement (Profit & Loss)
Balance Sheet
Cash Flow Statement
Accounts Receivable Aging Report
Accounts Payable Report
Budget vs. Actual Analysis
Monthly Financial Performance Report
8. Internal Control
Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Support internal and external audits.
Recommend process improvements to strengthen financial controls.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Accounting Commerce or Finance.
2-4 years of accounting experience.
Experience in manufacturing construction aluminum or installation companies is preferred.
Experience using ERP systems is an advantage.
Senior Accountant :
Strong skills in general accounting including journal entries reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
Experience with budgeting forecasting and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems as well as solid skills in Microsoft Excel and other productivity tools.
Knowledge of applicable accounting standards tax regulations and internal control best practices.
Ability to interpret financial data identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
Excellent attention to detail organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment. Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; professional certification (e.g. CPA CMA) is an advantage.
Several years of progressive accounting experience preferably in manufacturing construction or a related technical industry. Required Skills

Number of accounting errors identified during audits.
Authority The Accountant is authorized to:
Review financial documents before recording.
Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding financial matters.
Prepare financial reports for management review.
Recommend improvements to accounting procedures and internal controls.
