Network Administrator

Job Description

We are now hiring for a multinational company specialized in telecommunication:

• Maintain the production network, include user access area, data center and also the connectivity to multiple customers.
• Support remote access to customer side, including providing the connectivity proposal, connectivity explanation and implementation, also include supporting the connectivity reachability and stable for the all life cycle of the remote access project.
• Responsible for the daily switch port and firewall policy requirement, network healthy check, emergency planning and drills.
• Maintain Documentation of network related, such as IP address list, CMDB and also connectivity information for each remote access project.
• Respond timeously to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, or electronically.
• Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues assigned to them.
• Advise user on appropriate action, sometimes education of user is required.
• Maintain accurate inventory of all hardware and software resources and parts.
• Identify and effectively priorities situations requiring urgent attention.
• Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions.
• Maintain excellent communication with all end users and other members of the technology department.
• Work with outside vendors as needed.

Job Requirements

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
• For L1 engineer, at least 3 years of experience in Network administration.
• For L2 engineer, at least 5 years of experience in Network administration.

Knowledge & Skills

• Expert knowledge of Cisco, Juniper or Huawei equipment and technologies.
• Possess the ability to quickly identify, diagnose and provide solutions to complex problems, requirements and integration of various technologies.
• Provide planning, installing, configuring and maintaining routers, switches, VPN and Firewalls.
• Establish and maintain service levels; perform basic troubleshooting; monitor network implementations; and manage network device alarms.
• Expert knowledge with layer 2 and layer 3 technologies with a focus on network equipment, specifically routers, switches, firewalls.
• Detailed knowledge and experience with Open Short Path First (OSPF) and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), MPLS and IPSEC.
