Site Architect

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure that construction at the site is carried out in accordance with the architectural interior design and landscape design intentions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead all functions related to architectural matters at site and supervise team members in coordinating drawings and updating information on the project.
  
• Coordinate with other departments and relevant parties for updates and communications of contractors shop drawings and construction drawings.
  
• Monitor all submissions of materials shop drawings method statements site progress and quality in terms of finishing items including Architecture Landscape Interiors works with good knowledge of finishing materials and high-quality standards. Monitor proper systems of filing records and procedures.
  
• Monitor and coordinate with design consultants and contractors to prevent discrepancies and miscoordination among Finishing MEP Structure etc. drawings and to ensure that drawings and execution on site comply with Contract documents Sales & Purchase (S&P) layouts and S&P handover provisions.
  
• Review and check related MOS (Method of Statement) RFA (Request for Approval) RFI (Request for Information) MA (Material Approval)/SD (Shop Drawings) during the submission and approval process to ensure that submissions comply with contract documents and project requirements.
  
• Supervise and inspect related finishing items on site (Architecture Landscape Interiors etc.) according to approved drawings method statements etc. to ensure quality and progress follow the project target.
  
• Prepare daily and weekly reports to the Project Manager on related matters including submission approval progress quality etc.
  
• Monitor EHS at the assigned area and perform other assigned tasks according to actual project conditions.
  

PRINCIPAL CHALLENGES

• Contractors poor management and their inexperienced site architects.
  
• Maintaining Design Integrity: Ensuring that construction work strictly follows the approved drawings and original design intent despite site constraints or contractor-driven changes.
  
• Technical Coordination: Managing coordination among architects structural engineers MEP consultants contractors and subcontractors to avoid conflicts and discrepancies.
  
• Resolving On-Site Issues: Addressing unexpected site conditions design clashes and technical problems quickly to prevent delays.
  
  

• Degree in Architecture.
  
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field.
  
• Experience in architectural and finishing works of residential projects.
  
• Wide experience in Local Building Codes and regulations.
  
• Good understanding of construction methods materials and quality standards.
  
• Excellent problem-solving and time-management capabilities.
  
• Self-starter proactive ability to learn and result-oriented.
  
• Good communication in English.
  
• Proficient in AutoCAD and basic MS Office.
  

• Candidates from contractors design consulting companies or property developers are all acceptable.
  
• The key requirement is a Base Architect who is comfortable working directly at the construction site rather than working primarily in an office environment.
  
• Good English communication is required due to direct interaction with international stakeholders.
  
• Preferred age: 1995 or earlier including candidates born in the 1980s.
