Job Summary
Lead Manufacturing Quality activities across assigned production shops ensuring products meet design requirements customer expectations and global quality standards. Drive quality strategy problem-solving initiatives new product readiness and continuous improvement while leading quality engineering teams to achieve world-class manufacturing performance.
- Lead Quality Engineering teams and manage quality performance across manufacturing operations.
- Develop and maintain in-process quality standards inspection standards and quality control systems.
- Drive root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions for major quality issues.
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve customer production and supplier quality concerns.
- Oversee APQP PPAP PFMEA Control Plans and quality readiness for new product launches.
- Monitor and improve key quality KPIs including PPM FTQ scrap rework warranty and customer complaints.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 ISO 9001 and corporate quality requirements.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma SPC MSA and Poka-Yoke initiatives.
- Support supplier quality improvement and manufacturing process optimization.
- Develop team capability through coaching mentoring and performance management.
- Bachelors degree in Automotive Mechanical Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 10 years of experience in Quality Manufacturing or Engineering within automotive or related industries.
- Minimum 5 years of people management experience.
- Strong knowledge of APQP PPAP PFMEA SPC MSA 8D Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience in vehicle launch manufacturing quality or production engineering.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Good English communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in Automotive OEM or Tier-1 suppliers.
- Expertise in Body Paint GA Chassis Battery Powertrain or Electrical Systems.
- Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification.
- Masters degree in Engineering or Business Administration is a plus.
- Candidates must be willing to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and support business travel when required.
Required Skills:
