Our client is a large corporate group managing a portfolio of complex investment construction industrial and technical projects.
Project Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting
- Develop and standardize reporting templates covering project progress costs risks key issues and matters requiring management attention.
- Establish and maintain consolidated dashboards providing visibility into the overall status of the Groups project portfolio.
- Classify projects based on their current status including on track requiring monitoring delayed or involving critical issues requiring management intervention.
- Develop a regular and consistent information-sharing mechanism between the Group project management teams and project entities.
- Continuously improve project reporting processes dashboards risk indicators and portfolio control mechanisms.
Progress Monitoring and Risk Management
- Receive and consolidate periodic reports from the designated focal point of each project.
- Monitor key project milestones against approved plans schedules budgets and investment objectives.
- Compare actual progress with approved schedules and identify delays root causes dependencies and potential impacts.
- Provide early warnings regarding risks related to schedule cost legal and regulatory matters contracts technical issues equipment contractors and project implementation.
- Prioritize detailed analysis of projects experiencing significant delays cost overruns high-risk issues or matters requiring senior management decisions.
Review of Project Reports and Proposals
- Review the completeness consistency and logical basis of project reports before consolidation and submission to senior management.
- Assess major proposals involving schedule adjustments cost changes contracts contractors design modifications technology equipment and other significant project matters.
- Request additional information supporting documents or clarification from project management teams and project entities when reports or proposals lack sufficient justification.
- Provide independent assessments of the risks impacts and reasonableness of project proposals before they are submitted to the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer.
- Identify unusual information inconsistencies or potential concerns within project reports and escalate them appropriately.
Executive Advisory Support
- Prepare periodic consolidated reports on the performance and status of the Groups project portfolio.
- Summarize critical issues decisions requiring approval and matters requiring management direction.
- Recommend potential solutions decision options and key questions that should be clarified before management approval.
- Provide independent project control insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making.
- Monitor and follow up on the implementation of instructions and decisions issued by the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer in relation to projects.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with designated project focal points to collect review clarify and update project information.
- Coordinate with Legal Finance Accounting Technical Procurement Construction and other relevant functions to assess project-related issues when necessary.
- Participate in project meetings as assigned by senior management.
- Document meeting conclusions monitor agreed action items and report on implementation progress.
- Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with internal departments project management teams project entities contractors consultants and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or higher in Project Management Engineering Construction Construction Economics Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 58 years of experience in project management project controls PMO planning and scheduling or project portfolio management.
- Proven experience in monitoring multiple complex projects preferably within construction EPC infrastructure energy industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of project lifecycle scheduling cost control risk management contract management change management and project reporting.
- Ability to review project schedules budgets contracts progress reports and major adjustment proposals while identifying key risks and providing independent recommendations.
- Strong analytical critical-thinking reporting communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with MS Project Primavera P6 Power BI or similar tools is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as PMP PMI-SP PMI-RMP AACE PSP/CCP or equivalent are an advantage.
- Ability to work independently manage multiple priorities maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
