Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Leader
Ho Chi Minh City - Vietnam
Job Summary
Our client is a well-established pharmaceutical import and distribution company in Vietnam operating a nationwide distribution network and serving both local and multinational healthcare partners. The company is expanding its role as a trusted distribution partner for foreign-invested pharmaceutical and healthcare enterprises entering the Vietnamese market.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced pharmaceutical supply chain leader to take full operational leadership of a national warehousing distribution and logistics network. This is a senior board-facing role with genuine general management scope — the successful candidate will represent the company directly in negotiations and contract discussions with foreign partners and lead a team of 300 across three core operating branches.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning standardization and execution of national warehousing logistics and distribution operations
- Represent the company in tendering negotiations and contract signings with foreign-invested pharmaceutical and healthcare enterprises
- Coordinate and implement Board of Directors resolutions across the supply chain function
- Directly oversee three core branches — Warehouse Services (including FIE-dedicated warehousing) Distribution Operations (supply chain warehouse ops delivery customer service) and Value-Added Services (HSSE/BCP technical services) — totaling 300 people
- Own ISO/QMS audit readiness and GDP (Good Distribution Practice) compliance across the network
- Drive continuous improvement in warehouse productivity distribution efficiency and service levels nationwide
Must-Have Requirements
- Regional pharmaceutical supply chain leadership with working understanding of Vietnam's distribution and regulatory environment — candidates with direct hands-on Vietnam experience are strongly preferred; candidates with strong regional (APAC/SEA) pharmaceutical distribution leadership and a demonstrated ability to quickly build local regulatory fluency will also be considered
- Large-team leadership — proven experience managing sizeable multi-functional teams (300 headcount across multiple departments)
- High adaptability agility and resilience — this role requires adjusting to local culture work style and business practices; we are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic evolving environment
- Available to start on short notice
Also Important
- Senior leadership experience in pharmaceutical healthcare or regulated-goods supply chain and distribution
- Facility warehouse or infrastructure planning experience is a strong plus
- GDP GMP or ISO/QMS compliance and audit experience
- Prior experience representing an organization in commercial negotiations or tendering is an advantage though not required
What's on Offer
- Attractive expatriate package including accommodation and additional benefits — competitive for the region and commensurate with seniority
- A genuine general management mandate with board exposure — not a narrow functional role
- The opportunity to lead a large established distribution network at a pivotal point in its expansion
How to Apply
Interested candidates should submit their CV/resume along with a brief note on their relevant pharmaceutical/healthcare distribution experience (Vietnam-based or regional) and current notice period.
