Job Summary

Our client is a leading private university in Vietnam. They are seeking an experienced HR Director to lead people strategy HR operations and organizational development in a high-standard academic environment.

1. Strategic HR Leadership
  • Develop and implement comprehensive human capital strategies aligned with the Universitys academic mission and long-term institutional goals.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on HR policies talent strategies and organizational capability development.
  • Lead strategic HR initiatives that transform HR practices to ensure operational excellence and strengthen institutional performance.

2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead the Universitys global talent acquisition strategy to attract world-class faculty researchers and professional staff
  • Develop and implement strategic workforce planning headcount planning aligned with academic expansion and institutional priorities
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes including talent pipelines for key academic administrative and leadership positions ensure the selection process compliance with the highest ethical standards
  • Strengthen the Universitys employer branding to position VinUniversity as a globally respected academic institution
  • Build and implement succession plan and talent development for critical positions of the University

5. Organizational Development & Culture

  • Lead initiatives related to organizational design workforce optimization and institutional transformation to support the Universitys growth.
  • Develop and implement performance management frameworks aligned with strategic and operational goals.
  • Foster a culture of excellence accountability and collaboration across the University
  • Leverage technology and AI to transform HR practices enhancing efficiency insights and employee experience
  • Build HR dashboard and utilize HR analytics and benchmarking to support data-driven decision-making and strategic workforce planning.


Requirements
  • Masters degree or higher in HR Business Administration Organizational Development or related fields
  • 10 years of HR leadership experience in high-performance complex organizations
  • Proven experience in building and scaling HR systems frameworks and operating models strong expertise in talent acquisition total rewards and organizational development
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage technology and AI to transform HR practices and employee experience
  • Experience in HR analytics data-driven decision-making and workforce planning
  • Experience in multicultural academic or knowledge-intensive environments preferred
  • Strong leadership communication and stakeholder management skills



Required Skills:

A university degree in Marketing Communications Event Management Hospitality or a closely related field. Minimum of five years relevant experience in event management showing consistent career growth and successful delivery of events ranging from small gatherings to large-scale programs. Proven capability to oversee the entire event process including strategic planning coordination and on-site execution. Minimum of 2 years experience leading and developing team members. Proven experience in end-to-end event planning logistics coordination and on-site delivery under tight timelines. Experience managing event budgets and negotiating with external vendors and service providers. Strong ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders within a complex organisational structure. Experience using data and performance metrics to evaluate event success and produce post-event analysis. Excellent project management organisational and prioritisation skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities in English; Vietnamese language capability is an advantage depending on audience needs. A masters degree or relevant professional certifications in event management marketing or communications would be advantageous. Previous experience in international education premium education environments or similar sectors is considered beneficial. Exposure to recruitment-focused marketing events with measurable pipeline outcomes such as improved attendance lead generation efficiency or conversion performance is preferred. Strategic mindset combined with strong operational discipline and attention to detail. Ability to make structured decisions and maintain ownership in high-pressure situations. Strong collaboration and stakeholder influence skills. Demonstrated people leadership capability including coaching and team development. Creative approach to experience design while maintaining rigorous operational standards. Results-oriented with strong accountability for performance outcomes. Adaptability and resilience when managing peak seasons or high-demand event schedules. Interest in innovation within event formats digital enablement and performance optimisation initiatives.
