Job Summary
The Opportunity
Actuarial Specialist contributes to the Corporate Actuarial team to being a balanced and trusted advisor to executive management by providing insights into the financials of the company.
Position Responsibilities:
Supports annual Business Plan & Budgeting cycle. Prepares actuarial projections analyze financial metrics under various business scenarios ensures collaboration between different functions
Participates in Solvency Management of the business. Involves in preparing capital-related deliverables as well as actively finding opportunities to optimize capital efficiency
Handles Local Reporting including but not limited to local reserve annual fund split exercise audit preparation and requirements.
Offer support on IFRS 17 Reporting depending on capacity from time to time
Maintains highly effective controls to ensure accuracy of model output and reports and establishes a reputation for high quality deliverables. Conducts in-depth analysis to provide valuable business insights
Handles additional projects and tasks assigned by direct manager from time to time
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
Must be actively taking / passing exams administered by an accredited actuarial organization. ASA or near-ASA is a plus
2-5 years actuarial experience in life insurance industry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication in written and verbally GGY Axis familiarity
