Actuarial Specialist, Valuation

The Opportunity

Actuarial Specialist contributes to the Corporate Actuarial team to being a balanced and trusted advisor to executive management by providing insights into the financials of the company.

Position Responsibilities:

• Supports annual Business Plan & Budgeting cycle. Prepares actuarial projections analyze financial metrics under various business scenarios ensures collaboration between different functions

• Participates in Solvency Management of the business. Involves in preparing capital-related deliverables as well as actively finding opportunities to optimize capital efficiency

• Handles Local Reporting including but not limited to local reserve annual fund split exercise audit preparation and requirements.

• Offer support on IFRS 17 Reporting depending on capacity from time to time

• Maintains highly effective controls to ensure accuracy of model output and reports and establishes a reputation for high quality deliverables. Conducts in-depth analysis to provide valuable business insights

• Handles additional projects and tasks assigned by direct manager from time to time

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree

• Must be actively taking / passing exams administered by an accredited actuarial organization. ASA or near-ASA is a plus

• 2-5 years actuarial experience in life insurance industry

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication in written and verbally GGY Axis familiarity
