Job Summary

Job Summary: Part-time evening program teaching 2-3 nights a week from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

The Workforce Development Pharmacy Technician Instructor delivers training that prepares students for entry-level roles in pharmacy settings. This role provides instruction in pharmacy principles medication safety and regulations while supporting student success and readiness for certification and employment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree and or combination of experience and education.

Licensing Requirements:

- Valid Drivers License (Standard)
- Effective June 28 2026 Pennsylvania requires all pharmacy technicians to be registered with the PA State Board of Pharmacy. If you are not currently registered you must obtain registration by June 28 2026.
- PA ACT-15 (Standard)

Job Specific Task List:

  • Deliver instruction for the Pharmacy Technician program in alignment with curriculum and industry standards - (Essential)
  • Prepare lesson plans instructional materials and assessments - (Essential)
  • Teach pharmacy fundamentals calculations medication safety and regulations - (Essential)
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback and academic support - (Essential)
  • Maintain accurate attendance grades and program records - (Essential)
  • Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy requirements and program guidelines - (Essential)
  • Support students in preparation for certification exams (e.g. PTCB) - (Essential)
  • Maintain a safe inclusive and engaging learning environment - (Essential)
  • Collaborate with Workforce Development staff and participate in program improvement initiatives - (Essential)
  • Other duties as assigned - (Standard)

Equipment Requirements for part time casual adjunct and instructor positions:

It is HACCs expectation that candidates selected for this role will provide their own technology equipment.

Your own computer (Windows Linux or Macintosh desktop or laptop) with current web browser installed (Firefox Edge Safari Chrome) to broadband internet connection at all times during employment (DSL 4G/LTE FIOS Satellite or Cable/Xfinity/Comcast which enables you to communicate synchronously during meetings and other events such as USB Headset speaker and microphone captioning services adaptive technology assistive devices etc.
