PAY RATE: $43.00/hr

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Develops complex inventory equipment lists and conducts inventories for aircraft components and assemblies.

  • Weighs aircraft determines center of gravity and documents results for flight readiness.

  • Prepares Chapter 2 of the Weight and Balance Manual for aircraft documentation.

  • Balances flight control surfaces and calculates weight adjustments following repair or repaint.

  • Develops flight load planning and directs loading of variable load elements on aircraft.

  • Inspects aircraft to calculate effects of actual weight and location of variable load elements on gross weight and center of gravity.

  • Prepares flight manifests for pilot signatures and flight release.

  • Weighs and documents actual weights and centers of gravity of components and assemblies.

  • Resolves complex issues with equipment components and weighing systems.

  • Manages aircraft weighing data and flight manifesting data for operational records.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor 1 years related work experience 5 years related work experience etc.).

  • Experience in aircraft weight and balance analysis and documentation.

  • Proficiency with M365 (Microsoft Office 365) for data management and reporting.

  • Basic mathematics skills for weight and center of gravity calculations.

  • Associates Degree level training or equivalent education.

  • Experience with flight load planning and manifest preparation.

  • Experience balancing flight control surfaces and adjusting weight requirements.

  • Ability to resolve complex issues with weighing equipment and systems.

  • Willingness to train outside of the Washington location as required.

  • Ability to work variable shifts based on business need.
