Job Summary
Job Purpose:
The Web Rolltender is responsible for changing rolls and hanging plates. The Web Rolltender also assists operators with various tasks to facilitate the printing process.
Duties:
- Accurately print job tickets gather necessary equipment and report paper usage.
- Set up paper plates rollers and guides efficiently and safely.
- Operate and adjust press stackers.
- Web up the press.
- Repair damaged rolls and ensure correct ink supply maintaining fountain solution chemicals.
- Perform folding trimming and quality checks.
- Stack and organize finished products.
- Maintain a clean work environment cleaning ink fountains and rollers as required.
- Assist operators as needed.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read interpret and follow work instructions job tickets safety rules and ship reports accurately.
- Ability to write basic correspondence through email or on paper to fellow employees and supervisors.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations use a ruler and calculator and count.
- Effective verbal communication.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
Qualifications
- All applicants must have: Mechanical aptitude able to follow written and verbal instructions demonstrate excellent attention to detail and complete minor equipment repairs.
