Overview
The Inspector is responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturing process by conducting incoming in-process and final inspections. This role supports quality assurance efforts by verifying compliance with specifications maintaining inspection records and following all safety and quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Perform incoming in-process and final product inspections.
Inspect purchased components and finished products for quality compliance.
Utilize quality control systems and documentation to record inspection results.
Conduct dimensional inspections using calipers micrometers and other measuring tools.
Support quality initiatives and perform additional duties assigned by the Quality Manager.
Maintain inspection equipment and tools in proper working condition.
Follow all HSE/HSSE policies procedures and work instructions.
Properly use PPE and handle chemicals according to MSDS requirements.
Identify workplace hazards and apply required control measures.
Maintain quality records and inspection documentation accurately.
Operate special equipment only when properly trained and licensed.
Required Qualifications
Ability to read and write English.
2 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing machining or repair shop environment.
Experience performing dimensional inspections and recording results.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Ability to work independently and maintain a strong safety mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
Manufacturing and machining industry experience.
Knowledge of NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) inspection methods.
NDE Level II certification preferred.
Experience using calipers micrometers and other precision measurement tools.
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
Physical Requirements
Sit for extended periods.
Lift up to 25 lbs from floor to waist.
Carry up to 15 lbs single-handed and up to 50 lbs two-handed.
Walk on various terrains as needed.
Operate a motor vehicle with a valid drivers license.
Maintain adequate depth perception and color vision for inspection activities.
Work Environment
Primarily indoor manufacturing environment.
Potential outdoor work if forklift certified.
