Leidos is seeking a Subsea Lead Program Engineer to lead cutting-edge engineering efforts within the Undersea Systems Division (USD). What Youll Do
- Lead the design development and integration of all subsea elements across a program lifecycle.
- Own technical performance and delivery of subsea systems ensuring alignment with program requirements and milestones.
- Serve as the primary authority for subsea architecture interfaces and system integration.
- Lead design reviews trade studies risk development and mitigation and technical decision-making processes for the subsea systems.
- Oversee multiple subcontractors supporting the subsea components of the program ensuing interoperability between systems.
- Support the planning and executing of subsea portions of offshore testing campaigns including deployment recovery and in-water operations.
- Integrate across the program with other leads the Program Manager and customer to ensure program success across all systems.
- Lead and mentor junior employees empowering them through assigning tasks setting priorities and ensuring accountability in a productive and high-performance environment.
- Travel when needed (approximately 0-25% time) to support customer needs and attend team meetings.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Physics Mathematics or similar technical discipline.
- 8 years total experience.
- Demonstrated experience with ROVs subsea tooling undersea communications and/or sensor integration.
- Strong technical focus ability to support team leadership and establish strong collaborative working relationships with government customers technical staff senior managers and peers.
- Strong problem-solving skills along with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Contribute to the successful capture of competitive US DoD contracts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the US Navy programs contracts and mission requirements.
- Experience with offshore or at-sea test operations.
Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex engineering efforts.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $131300.00 - $237350.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.
