Marketing & Communications is seeking two creative individuals who are looking for additional graphic design experience while promoting campus events. Publicists are responsible for designing flyers banners lawn signs table tents instagram graphics etc. and will have the opportunity to work directly with clients across publicists may also assist with other duties as assigned.

  • Applicants should be proficient within Adobe Creative Suite most specifically InDesign and Illustrator
  • Attention to detail is imperative both in your design work and in following written instructions
  • Must be able to handle constructive criticism
  • Must be able to meet deadlines
  • Work can be done remotely; you set hours that work with your class schedule
  • Must have access to a computer; if you do not have an Adobe license that will be provided

I am looking for a student who is creative and also interested in learning more about the technical side of design. If you are able to get around InDesign and Illustrator I am willing and happy to teach you more about using the programs effectively to create effective and beautiful print materials.

Students in graphic design or other creative majors are preferred but if know Adobe Creative Suite and can show me a strong portfolio even if you major in something outside the arts you will still be considered.

The position is budgeted for 8 hours/week during the academic year and is primarily remote but exact hours per week will vary depending on how many jobs are assigned at one time.

All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time. Additionally students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year. Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.

Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
