Structures Team Lead Georgia Division

At Benesch were not just designing structures were shaping communities. As our Structures Team Lead youll play a vital role in delivering impactful bridge and structural projects that strengthen transportation networks improve safety and connect communities across Georgia. Working alongside the Structural Engineering Group Manager youll lead project delivery efforts mentor engineers and help advance technical excellence throughout our growing team.

This hybrid position offers flexibility to balance in-office collaboration at our Atlanta office with remote work.

Key Projects Shaping Communities Across Georgia

Our Georgia Division is delivering impactful infrastructure and community development projects that showcase the breadth of our expertise and commitment to improving the places where people live work and connect:

• West Broad Roundabout Design of a complex five-legged multi-lane roundabout on a state route with construction scheduled to begin this year
• North Oconee River Greenway (Athens GA) Successful delivery of two greenway improvement projects that enhance connectivity and recreational opportunities within the community
• Firefly Trail (Athens GA) Ongoing multi-phase trail development with one phase completed and another currently under construction
• Langley Park & North Augusta Amphitheater Completed park and amphitheater projects that have created vibrant public spaces for recreation events and community engagement

This work reflects our teams ability to deliver transportation trail park and public space projects that make a lasting impact throughout Georgia.

The Impact Youll Make

In this leadership role youll help drive the successful delivery of bridge and structural projects while supporting the continued growth and development of our Georgia team:

• Lead the technical delivery of bridge and structural design projects from planning through final design and construction support
• Manage project teams schedules budgets and resources to ensure high-quality project outcomes
• Serve as a technical mentor to engineers and designers fostering professional growth and a culture of collaboration
• Partner with the Structural Engineering Group Manager to support team development workload management and strategic initiatives
• Collaborate with clients project managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and practical engineering solutions
• Maintain a strong commitment to quality safety and technical excellence across all project deliverables
• Contribute to proposal development project pursuits and client relationship-building efforts
• Help advance structural engineering practice through innovation knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

What Youll Bring

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Experience in bridge and structural design for transportation infrastructure projects
• Demonstrated success leading project teams and coordinating multidisciplinary efforts
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis design standards and applicable industry regulations
• Excellent communication collaboration and mentoring skills
• A passion for developing people delivering quality work and making a positive impact on the communities we serve
