Summary:
-
Perform stress analysis on new and revised subsystem routing designs within the F-35 airframe
-
Analyze and assess wire harness routing hydraulic tubing and coolant line installations
-
Conduct static strength assessments of:
-
Brackets
-
Clamps
-
Shelves
-
Pressurized tubes
-
Welded tube assemblies
-
-
Evaluate tube deflection and routing clearances to ensure system isolation from surrounding structures and neighboring systems
-
Work directly with design engineers to communicate engineering requirements and verify compliant product designs
-
Utilize classical engineering analysis methods automated analytical tools and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to support design validation

Develop run and analyze Finite Element Models (FEM) using:

HyperMesh
-
Nastran
-
Patran
-
Requirements:
-
Active Secret clearance preferred; ability to obtain and maintain a required security clearance.

Bachelors or Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics
-
Experience in Subsystem Stress Analysis and Routing
-
Experience developing running and analyzing Finite Element Models (FEM) using HyperMesh Nastran and Patran
-
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with strong interpersonal communication skills
-
Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.
