Summary of Role:
As a Staff Systems Engineer in networking architecture your job is to ensure that the hardware and software related to networking meets functionality and performance metrics.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Integrated Design & Simulation: Using industry standard tools to test and develop networking technology
- Networking System Requirements & Architecture: Defining the how networking is implemented mapping out how data flows to and from central compute and control to sensors and motors in factory automation and robotics
- Testing & Validation: Prototyping and conducting hardware-in-the-loop testing to ensure behavior in the real world. Benchmarking competitive solutions.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental Health Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in networking software or hardware design or products utilizing networking
- Education Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related field through an accredited degree program
- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
- Travel - Up to 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience
- Ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills
- Embedded Networking: Ethernet TSN EtherCAT PROFINET HSR PRP other control networks experience
- Programming C/C (for real-time systems) scripting Linux device drivers
- Networking Tools: Wireshark Ixia opensource tools like iperf3 pktgen
- Real-time motor control RTOS embedded systems

Expected Salary Range
$106000.00 - $184000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications experience and location.
