Come join the AmeriHomes team a Western Alliance Bank company as a Staff Engineer I of the Data Services team. Were building a cutting-edge platform designed to streamline and enhance business workflows in the mortgage lending space. As part of a dynamic and growing team youll help shape the software that drives our evolving business needs.As an IT Staff Engineer I youll work in a mid-level role with proficiency in one or more key products and who is responsible for managing and supporting the organizations IT infrastructure or applications. Youll identify development and support needs as well as taking on design responsibilities supporting project tasks. As an IT Staff Engineer I youll facilitate dialogue and activities while also ensuring team collaboration.
- Design develop and maintain modern responsive web applications using frameworks such as React Angular TypeScript HTML and CSS.
- Build reusable UI components and enforce design system consistency and deliver end-to-end user experiences. Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs and backend services.
- Take assignments that can be worked on individually without supervision and manage work effort from concept to completion.
- Partner with product managers architects UX designers and translate business requirements into intuitive user experiences.
- Participate in code reviews and promote front-end engineering best practices standards and maintainability. Contribute to ongoing improvements in CI/CD testing and front-end development processes.
What youll need:
- 5 years of related experience in software development or similar fields including designing and building applications with front end technologies like TypeScript React Angular and REST API integration.
- Bachelors degree in related field required.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations rules and regulations industry standards and practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure and AWS).
- Advanced proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Additional experience with pipeline development and leveraging Azure DevOps while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Intermediate to advanced ability to see the big picture and align projects with organizational goals. Capable of leading and motivating cross-functional teams. Expertise in resolving conflicts and addressing challenges as well as skilled at identifying and mitigating risks at the project level. Proficient in governance patterns tied to intake technical reviews and architectural compliance.
- Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
- May require up to 10% travel.
