Are you passionate about creating innovative electronic products that improve lives Were looking for a Senior Product Development Engineer Electronics to lead the design and development of embedded electronic systems for next-generation medical devices.
In this role youll take design and develop embedded electronic systems from concept through commercialization developing hardware architecture schematics and PCB layouts. Youll be working alongside software mechanical quality and manufacturing teams to deliver safe reliable and high-quality solutions used by healthcare professionals and patients worldwide.
What Youll Do
- Lead the design and development of embedded electronic systems for medical devices.
- Develop hardware architectures schematics and PCB layouts.
- Drive projects from concept prototyping and verification through production release.
- Design analog digital and mixed-signal circuits.
- Perform circuit analysis simulations troubleshooting and root cause investigations.
- Define and manage hardware requirements aligned with overall system architecture.
- Support verification and validation testing and incorporate findings into design improvements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications risk assessments and engineering records.
- Collaborate closely with software mechanical manufacturing and quality engineering teams.
- Support design transfer to manufacturing BOM optimization and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives.
- Serve as a technical mentor and subject matter expert for hardware development
Required Qualifications - Senior Product Development Engineer Electronics
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Embedded Systems or a related field.
- 5 years of experience developing embedded electronic hardware products.
- Strong expertise in analog digital and mixed-signal circuit design.
- Experience designing microcontroller-based systems.
- Hands-on experience with PCB design and schematic capture tools.
- Strong troubleshooting analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience taking products from concept through production.
- Experience with Altium Designer and Altium 365.
- Experience in medical devices or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of IEC 60601 EMC/EMI requirements FCC RED or similar regulatory standards.
- Familiarity with embedded firmware development in C/C.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Design for Assembly (DFA) and production industrialization.
- Enjoy solving complex technical challenges.
- Take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.
- Work effectively across multiple engineering disciplines.
