Job Description:
Developsimplementsand analyzes manufacturing engineering plans and projects and communicates them to internal and external customers. Definesdevelopsand transfers manufacturing and engineering toolsstrategiesand systems. Develops manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes. Activelyparticipateswith engineering project teamsin order tocoordinate the release of new products. Estimates and tracks manufacturing costsdeterminestime standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
The candidate will perform a variety of engineering work in the development improvement and optimization of multiple processes and techniques including circuit card assembly standard module assembly and electro-mechanical final assembly. The work will include improving andoptimizingcurrent processes implementing new tooling improving existing tooling and creating robust technical documentation on existing processes and tooling.
Essential Functions:
Implementing manufacturing standard work and best practices to improve operational metrics
Translate drawing requirements into detailed work instructions for the assembly integration and testing of complex end-products
Work with existing and legacy equipment
Control andimproveexisting processes
Perform failure analysis and risk mitigation
Complete technical writing and training related tasks
Coordinate with maintenance group for equipment upkeep and training
Ability to obtain a US security clearance
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related lieu of a degreeminimumof 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills
Electrical Mechanical or Industrial Engineering background preferred
Experience with legacy tooling code and equipment
Robust project management and technical writing skills
Ability to communicate project status and risks to leadership team
Expertisein making data driven decisions to improve and develop processes
Experience using DFM Six-Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing Principles
Experience using DMAIC process and associated tools
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in New Jersey area is $84000.00 - $156000.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
