About the Role

Hello Special Education Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-timeSpecial Education Teachertosupport elementary students with autism in Windsor this role youll provide individualized instruction implement behavior and academic supports develop IEPs and create a structured supportive classroom environment where students can thrive.

This position is ideal for educators who are passionate about working with elementary-aged students with autism and enjoy helping students build communication academic behavioral social-emotional and life skills in a highly supportive setting.

What Youll Do

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student strengths and needs
• Provide individualized and small-group instruction for elementary students with autism
• Implement behavior supports visual schedules sensory strategies and structured routines
• Create a safe structured and engaging classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers related service providers paraprofessionals and families
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
• Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation
• Adapt curriculum communication supports and instructional strategies to maximize student success
• Support students in building independence communication emotional regulation and functional life skills

What Were Looking For

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license with Special Education endorsement
• Experience working with students with autism preferred
• Strong classroom management flexibility and collaboration skills
• Passion for supporting elementary students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
• School-based experience preferred but not required
