Tapestry Solutions a part of Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Software Engineer Test Automation in Hazelwood MO for the Department of Navy Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile program. The Tomahawk program continues to grow and expand as a relevant deterrent against adversaries across the globe and is employed by multiple military organizations. This program is expected to remain in active service for the foreseeable future.
The successful candidate for the role of Software Engineer Test Automation will play a crucial role in the design development testing and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry customer and safety standards for the Tomahawk program while adhering to strict government regulations. You will have the opportunity to review analyze and translate customer requirements into initial design of software products. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing maintaining enhancing and optimizing software products and functionalities for systems integrations. Additionally you will debug and resolve issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products.
Position Responsibilities:
- Design develop and execute automated frontend and backend tests in a .Net Framework 8/10 environment
- Create test automation plans based on program requirements
- Execute manual exploratory testing as needed; identify opportunities for automation
- Collaborate with product management and developers to establish comprehensive test scenarios
- Document identified defects in bug tracking system and validate implemented fixes
- Track test automation metrics (defect density open defects time to resolution etc.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelors Degree
- Active U.S. Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
- Ability to meet DoD 8140 Program Foundational qualifications
- 1 year(s) of test automation experience
- Proficiency with modern scripting or programming language(s) (e.g. Python JavaScript etc.)
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science and 5 years of related work experience OR Bachelors Degree and 9 years of directly related work experience OR 13 years of related relevant experience
- CompTIA Security Certification or better (unless bachelors degree earned in one of the following concentrations: Computer Science Cybersecurity Data Science Information Systems Information Technology or Software Engineering)
- 2 years of test automation experience
- Experience with Ranorex or similar frontend testing tools
- 2 years of experience with Azure DevOps
- 3 years of hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g. Selenium Cucumber SonarQube Ranorex Fortify etc.)
- 1 years of experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins Azure DevOps etc.)
- Experience with ecosystem and C#
