Software Engineer II

In this role you will impact the development of cutting-edge software applications that improve building automation systems enabling safer more energy-efficient and productive environments for building owners and occupants.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and youll work out of our Duluth GA location on a Hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design develop and maintain backend services and APIs using C# Core/.NET 6
• Build and deploy cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure
• Develop microservices architectures and integrate with distributed systems
• Write clean maintainable and testable code following best practices
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools
• Optimize application performance reliability and scalability
• Participate in code reviews technical design discussions and agile ceremonies
• Troubleshoot production issues and support system improvements
  

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3 years of experience in design and development of software solutions.
• Strong proficiency in C# .NET Core / Web API
• Hands-on experience with Azure services (App Services Functions Storage Service Bus Key Vault)
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
• Solid understanding of OOP SOLID principles and design patterns
• Experience with SQL Server / Cosmos DB / NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps GitHub Actions)
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes (nice to have)

• Exposure to security best practices (OAuth2 Azure AD managed identities)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Application Insights Log Analytics)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Domain knowledge in connected systems IoT.
