Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement software features and improvements across major portions of your teams systems spanning the full development lifecycle including product definition scoping coding testing deployment and operations.
- Write clean well-documented and maintainable code using optimal data structures and algorithms and actively participate in code reviews to uphold quality standards and coach fellow engineers.
- Collaborate with customers stakeholders and cross-functional peers to understand business and customer needs translating requirements into effective technical solutions that balance scalability performance and maintainability.
- Identify and resolve root causes of operational issues driving permanent fixes and continuously improving your teams operational processes and software reliability.
- Evaluate new tools approaches and generative AI capabilities to augment productivity and quality making recommendations for adoption to your teammates and colleagues.

A day in the life
You will spend time writing code for a new feature participating in design discussions with your team or reviewing a pull request from a colleague. Youll regularly connect with product managers and stakeholders to stay grounded in customer needs and youll mentor newer engineers as they ramp up on your teams systems.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1 years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1 years of designing and developing large-scale multi-tiered multi-threaded embedded or distributed software applications tools systems and services using: C# C Java or Perl experience
- 1 years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
