The Site Manager serves as the school-based leader responsible for the successful execution of before- and aftercare programming at their campus. Reporting directly to the Principal and serving as a member of the School Leadership Team this role ensures that extended learning programming is safe engaging compliant and aligned to student achievement goals and family needs.

The Site Manager is a 12-month position with year-round responsibility for extended learning programming including staffing enrollment compliance family communication and coordination with school leaders and external partners. This role ensures full compliance with Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) requirements strong operational systems and high-quality student experiences that extend learning beyond the traditional school day.

This role operates with both an operational and family-centered leadership lens ensuring that extended learning programming supports student growth family partnership and overall school success.

Essential Functions

The Site Manager is deeply committed to the success of each Rocketeer and the daily workload reflects that commitment. The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:

Program Management & Implementation

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of before- and aftercare programming as well as summer programming aligned to Rocketships academic enrichment and family engagement priorities.

  • Ensure safe structured and engaging learning experiences that support student success whole-child development and strong family retention year-round.

  • Serve as the primary on-site leader during extended learning hours overseeing staffing student transitions schedules attendance and daily program logistics.

  • Partner with school leadership to align tutoring intervention enrichment and summer learning opportunities with student achievement goals and family needs.

  • Monitor student participation attendance and program readiness to drive continuous improvement and ensure successful school-year and summer program execution.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external enrichment partners and program vendors ensuring strong collaboration compliance and high-quality program delivery.

Compliance Licensing & Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with all Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) requirements for extended learning programs.

  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready records including attendance staffing ratios licensing documentation and required reporting.

  • Monitor adherence to health safety staffing and licensing standards.

  • Support preparation for OSSE monitoring visits audits and compliance reviews.

  • Ensure all required staff credentials trainings and compliance documentation remain current and complete.

  • Partner with school operations and leadership teams to proactively address operational risks and ensure program sustainability.

Financial Management & Enrollment Support

  • Support management of extended learning budgets in alignment with OSSE funding requirements and school financial processes.

  • Track program expenses allowable grant spending and required documentation for compliance and reporting.

  • Partner with the Business Operations Manager to support forecasting reconciliation and fiscal accountability.

  • Monitor enrollment and participation trends to support program sustainability and family access.

  • Ensure expenditures align with program needs compliance requirements and student experience priorities.

  • Support tuition collection follow-up billing coordination and enrollment documentation where applicable.

Family Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships with families to support participation satisfaction and retention in extended learning programs.

  • Support enrollment goals and family participation for before- and aftercare programming.

  • Lead family-facing communication related to programming schedules expectations and student support.

  • Address family concerns with professionalism responsiveness and a strong customer-service mindset.

  • Collaborate closely with Office Managers and the Business Operations Manager to ensure seamless enrollment billing and family communication processes.

  • Partner with school leaders to strengthen family trust student support systems and school-community relationships.

Team Leadership & Staff Engagement

  • Recruit onboard and supervise Rocketship extended learning staff including part-time team members and school-based program staff.

  • Ensure strong staffing coverage and consistent program operations throughout the school year.

  • Set clear expectations for performance professionalism and student/family experience aligned to Rocketships values.

  • Provide coaching feedback and support to team members to ensure strong program execution and accountability.

  • Partner with the People Team and school leadership on staffing concerns employee relations and performance management as needed.

  • Ensure staff adherence to compliance requirements safety expectations and program quality standards.

Leadership Team Contribution

  • Serve as an active member of the School Leadership Team

  • Support school-wide operations culture and student experience initiatives.

  • Align extended learning programming with the schools instructional priorities and family engagement goals.

  • Partner with the Principal and leadership team to strengthen student support systems and family engagement efforts.

  • Contribute to school-wide planning problem-solving and operational excellence as needed.

  • Support broader campus priorities and strategic initiatives that drive student success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required.

  • 3 years of experience in program management education youth development or school operations.

  • Experience with compliance budgeting grant management or school-based operations preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage operations in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with staff supervision scheduling and performance support preferred.

  • Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and accountability.

  • Commitment to educational equity and alignment to Rocketships mission and values.

$75000 - $85000 a year

Compensation:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
