Senior UX Designer, Design System

The Basics

As a Senior UX Designer on the Design System team you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing the foundational styles patterns and UI elements for Tanium solutions across our entire platform. The projects youll be working on will require new ways of engaging with our solutions to continue bringing AI strategies to Tanium product solutions. You will be charged with working with cross-functional teams to create intuitive visually appealing and highly functional interfaces that meet the needs of our customers.

Tanium delivers comprehensive autonomous management of endpoints including security incident response patching change management and performance monitoring capabilities.

What youll do

• Design System Design: Design repeatable scalable patterns and componentry to be leveraged by both design and engineering.
• User Interface Design: Design and prototype user interfaces for enterprise software applications ensuring seamless navigation usability and accessibility.
• User Experience Enhancement: Conduct user research analyze feedback and iterate on designs to optimize user experience and satisfaction.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers software engineers and UX/UI designers to understand requirements refine features and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Prototyping and Testing: Develop interactive prototypes to validate design concepts and usability and conduct usability testing to gather actionable insights for improvement.
• Documentation: Document design decisions and best practices to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.

Were looking for someone with

• Education
  • Bachelors degree in Interaction Design Human-Computer Interaction computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience
  • Proven experience (5 years) in UI/UX design specifically in a Design System capacity.
  • Understanding of systems design tokens and atomic design principles
  • Experience designing in technical B2B solutions
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Strong UI skills and understanding of design systems in Figma
  • Experience with user research methods prototyping tools and usability testing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience with data visualization and/or dashboard design.
  • Experience designing for AI and Agentic AI technologies.

What youll get

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $169000 to $259000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location education skills training and experience.
