Senior Mechanical Engineer

Envision is seeking a motivated career and customer-oriented Senior Mechanical Engineerto join our team inAberdeen Proving Ground Maryland.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Research develop plan and design mechanical and electromechanical products systems and equipment.
• Analyze customer requirements technical specifications engineering data and design proposals to determine project feasibility and design approach.
• Design and develop mechanical thermal hydraulic electromechanical and automated systems utilizing sound engineering principles and industry best practices.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings models and technical documentation using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools.
• Develop testing methodologies procedures and validation plans to evaluate system performance and reliability.
• Lead and coordinate fabrication assembly installation and testing activities to ensure compliance with engineering requirements and customer specifications.
• Support operation maintenance troubleshooting and repair efforts to maximize equipment performance and system availability.
• Evaluate fielded systems and installations identify deficiencies and recommend design improvements or corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical software manufacturing quality and program management personnel.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards safety regulations and quality requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff as needed.

Required Skills:

• 8 plusyears of professional Mechanical Engineering experience.
• Experience designing developing testing and integrating mechanical or electromechanical systems
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles materials manufacturing processes and system integration.
• Experience developing technical documentation engineering drawings and test procedures.

Desired Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Active Secret / Top Secret Preferred.

The projected compensation range for this position is $145000.00-$158000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including but not limited to Contract Wage Determination relevant work experience skills and competencies that align to the specified role geographic location education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories
