Section 1: Position Summary

TheSenior Business Systems Analyst (Data Platform)partners with business stakeholders product leadership data architects and data engineering teams to translate business needs intoclear actionable data requirements. This role serves as a bridge between business and technology ensuring the enterprise data platform is atrusted governed source of truth.

The Senior BSA leads data requirements definition across data models integrations pipelines and consumption layers with a strong focus on data definitions metrics lineage and usability within a regulated financial services environment.

Section 2: Job Functions Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead theelicitation analysis and documentation of datarelated business requirementsfor enterprise data initiatives
• Translate business needs intoclear dataspecific requirements including data elements metrics hierarchies transformations and access patterns
• Own andmaintainthe enterprise data dictionary and business glossary ensuring consistency and alignment across teams
• Partner closely withData Architects and Data Engineeringto ensure requirements are accurately reflected in data models integrations and pipelines
• Documentendtoend data flows and lineage from source systems to downstream consumers
• Serve as theprimary liaison between business stakeholders and data delivery teams resolving definition conflicts and clarifying requirements
• Supportbacklog refinement and prioritization ensuring requirements are complete and actionable prior to development
• Identifyand help remediatedata quality consistency and access issues
• Reinforcedata governance standards documentation practices and approved access methods
• Participate in design reviews planning sessions and crossfunctional working groups
• Supportregulated fintech and financial services use cases including auditability security and sensitive data handling
• Responsible for protecting securing and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access improper transmission and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Section 3: Experience Skills Knowledge Requirements

• Minimum 10 yearsof experience as a Business Systems Analyst Data Analyst Data Product Owner or similar datafocused role

• Proven experience translating business needs intoenterprisescale data requirements

• Strong experience withenterprise data platforms including:

• Oracle (transactional data understanding)

• Cloud data warehouses (Azure preferred)

• ETL / integration tools (Informatica or similar)

• Analytics and reporting consumers

• Demonstrated ownership of adata dictionary and/or business glossary

• Strong understanding ofsourceoftruth principles data consistency and governance

• Experience partnering withdata architects and engineering teamsin complex environments

• Financial services or fintech experience including regulated data requirements

• Excellent analytical documentation and communication skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders

The national average salary range for this role is$110K-150K in base pay exclusive of any bonuses and base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salary offered will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location experience performance and internal pay alignment. We do not anticipate that candidates hired will begin at the top of the range however from time to time it may occur on a case-by-case basis.
